United HomeCare® (UHC) proudly hosted the November meeting of the Elder Issues Committee and the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade, chaired by Marjorie Aloni and facilitated by Mayra Garcia, RN, BSN, MS, from the Florida Department of Health. Special guests included Brenda Lampon from the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor, Ahbria Marshall Program Officer from United Way Miami, and Nattaliah Earle from the Age-Friendly Initiative who provided insights on the Senior Survey Review and the 5-Year Plan, while UHC presented on Home and Community-Based Services for older adults and individuals with disabilities, including programs funded by the Alliance for Aging and United Way Miami. The Consortium aims to promote healthy living in the community through sustainable policies and initiatives under the Mayor’s Initiative on Healthy Aging and Livability.
