How do I qualify for Medicaid?
Medicaid is health insurance that helps those who can't afford medical care. In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a U.S. national, citizen, or permanent resident in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income.

Low income is only one test for Medicaid eligibility; assets and resources are also evaluated. For more information, call us at (305) 716-0710 or visit http://www.cms.hhs.gov/MedicaidEligibility.

  • You get continuing dialysis for permanent kidney failure or need a kidney transplant.
  • You have Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS-Lou Gehrig's disease).
