Jose R. Fox
President and CEO
Jose R. Fox, a visionary and true humanitarian, has been in the forefront of social services, health care,
and in-home services for over thirty years. His experience began in Honduras, Central America, in the late 1960s,
where he was the Director for the Human Development Association. Mr. Fox was Vice President for Strategic Planning for the United Way
of Miami-Dade County; Director of the Area Agency on Aging of Dade County (District 11); and Deputy
Director of the Dade County Community Relations Board, prior to joining United HomeCare Services in 1989.
Mr. Fox has been responsible for instituting a diversification strategy to ensure that clients receive a broad spectrum of programs and services,
and continuity of care. His desire to create a strong organization has led to several initiatives, including the Medicaid and
Certified Medicare Home Health Agency licensure, attainment of national accreditation, introduction of a Caregiver
Assistance Program, the “Solutions” Long Term Care Diversion program, and most recently the Telehealth Program.
Mr. Fox’s passion and focus has continuously been to help those that cannot help themselves.
As President of the Community Statewide Care for the Elderly Coalition representing Miami-Dade County District 11, board member of the
Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF), member of Florida Council on Aging (FCOA), and member of Florida Advocates for
Community Care for Disabled Adults, Mr. Fox has worked tirelessly to improve policy in support of the elderly and disabled
in our community. He is a recipient of the “Msgr. Bryan Walsh Outstanding Human Services Professional
Award” from the United Way of Miami-Dade and the “Outstanding Service Award” from
the Florida Hispanic Coalition on Aging. In 2006, the Health Foundation of South Florida honored Mr.
Fox as a “Concern Awards” finalist. Miami Today featured Mr. Fox as "The Achiever" in 2009.
